Insurance Policy

At The Move Clinic, we are pleased to accept patients with private health insurance. This allows you to access high-quality physiotherapy care with the reassurance that your treatment costs may be covered by your insurer.

We work with a wide range of insurance providers and can support you through the process of arranging treatment, ensuring that your care is delivered efficiently and with minimal stress. Our focus is always on helping you return to activity, reduce pain, and achieve your goals through expert physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

What is included?

Insurance cover typically applies to:

● Physiotherapy assessment and treatment

● Exercise-based rehabilitation programmes

● Manual therapy and soft tissue treatment

● Education, advice, and ongoing management plans

What is not included?

Please note that insurance cover does not extend to interventional treatments such as:

● Diagnostic ultrasound assessment

● Ultrasound-guided injections (e.g. steroid, hyaluronate, prolotherapy, or Arthrosamid)

● Other advanced interventional procedures

These treatments may still be available on a self-pay basis, and we will discuss all options with you if they are appropriate for your condition.

How to book with insurance

1. Contact your insurance provider to check your level of cover and obtain an authorisation code.

2. Provide us with your membership details and authorisation code when booking.

3. Attend your appointment with peace of mind knowing your insurer will be billed directly (subject to your policy terms and excess).

Insurance Patients

We are pleased to accept patients with insurance. This includes but is not limited to AXA, AVIVA, Vitality health and BUPA. However, please note that appointment availability and times may vary based on the rates provided by your insurance provider. We strive to maintain a premium musculoskeletal service and accommodate all our patients as efficiently as possible, but adjustments may be necessary to align with the terms set by your insurance company. Interventions we provide are based on the best available research and clinical judgement. Therefore, the required number of appointments is driven by clinical decision in the best interests of the patient.

Coverage of Interventions

It’s important to understand that not all interventions may be covered by your insurance plan. Coverage can vary significantly between different insurance providers and policies. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you verify your coverage with your insurance company prior to your appointment. This will help you avoid any unexpected out-of-pocket expenses.

Your Responsibility

As a patient, it is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider regarding the specifics of your coverage. This includes understanding which treatments are covered and any potential costs you may incur. Our administrative team is here to assist you with any questions you may have about this process.
